Leah S. Schraudenbach

Financial Advisor and Investor

Leah Schraudenbach, formerly of Goldman Sachs & Co., is a financial investor and advisor with over 20 years of experience investing, structuring, and advising on transactions that combine credit and asset risk. She has acted as a principal in acquiring over $2 billion worth of assets and advised on the financing of over $10 billion worth of assets through both public and private transactions. She has led transactions within several industries including aviation, rail, shipping, specialty automotive, chemicals, Government Sponsored Entities including Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, and defense.

Leah was a member of the Special Situations Group at Goldman Sachs & Co. where she helped to build the commercial aircraft investing platform, working with partners to create an aircraft operating lease business with a diversified portfolio of aircraft and lessees. She has experience negotiating deal structures on acquisition and sale, including structuring lease terms, debt financing, and ongoing monitoring. Over her ten years at Goldman Sachs, Leah also structured and sold public style securitizations across a range of assets including aircraft, rail, and diversified corporate loans. The public style transactions include EETC's (Enhanced Equipment Trust Certificates) for the US legacy airlines including the Airfinance Journal "Deal of the Year" for United Airlines, a 19 plane, $800mm financing completed in 2000.

Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Leah was a Vice President at Chase Manhattan Bank(now JPMorganChase) for nearly ten years where she worked in the Securities division structuring and underwriting private and public structured products for several industries including airline and aircraft, chemicals and defense. Leah was part of the team that built the securities division at Chase Manhattan Bank underwriting a number of the first lead managed deals for the firm.

Leah holds a Bachelor degree from Northwestern University in Math and Economics, and a Masters degree from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern in Finance. She currently resides in Cranbury, New Jersey with her husband and two children.
