Mr. McLeod is a partner in the Global Aviation, Aerospace & Defense practice at Krauthamer & Associates. He brings a wealth of search and industry experience in the aerospace, defense and aviation sectors. Before joining Krauthamer & Associates in 2013, Mr. McLeod was a senior partner in the Aviation, Aerospace and Defense practice at Korn Ferry.

Prior to starting his executive search career in 2008, Mr. McLeod worked for the international aircraft manufacturer Airbus, where he held a number of senior executive positions. Most recently, as President and Chief Operating Officer of Airbus North America Sales Inc, he ran Airbus’ commercial activity in North America.  As Senior Vice President, Head of Asset Management at Airbus headquarters in France, Mr. McLeod had full profit and loss responsibility for Airbus’ second hand aircraft portfolio of some 60 used aircraft, including sales, purchasing and leasing. He also held a seat on the board of Airbus Financial Services in Dublin.  As President of Airbus China, in Beijing, Mr. McLeod led Airbus’ organization in the Greater China market, which included sales, support, government affairs and industrial cooperation. He gained significant operational experience during his years in China, where he was a key player in developing a highly successful expansion strategy in the competitive global airliner sales and operations market.

Mr. McLeod spent five years as an officer in the British Army, where he saw service in Hong Kong, Brunei and Northern Ireland. Mr. McLeod earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Edinburgh University and is a graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He also holds a certificate in executive coaching from Georgetown University.
